Building Walls - Breaking Walls, Kibbutz Lotan, Israel (October 5 - October 15, 2018)

Young adults from Switzerland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, Israel and Palestine built a natural stone wall together in the southern desert of Israel, in Kibbutz Lotan. They explored conflicts and challenges around borders and walls in different countries, shared cultural life, cooked together and experienced Middle Eastern cultural heritage and kibbutz life. In addition, Swiss television accompanied us in a documentary about the "Building Walls - Breaking Walls" project in Israel. We were delighted to have them with us to give a better insight into the project.

Building Walls - Breaking Walls, Grenchenberg SO, Jura, Switzerland (September 16 - September 24, 2018)

Testimonials from ParticipantsI had one of the most amazing weeks of my life on the exchange and brought back so many memories and good feelings from my time in the Jura. From the masterful craft of drywall construction to the deep conversation about peace, barriers and cultures, the week was a 10/10. What I will take away from the Build Walls - Break Walls exchange is a better understanding of divided cultures and why it is important to embrace your culture without stamping on another.Ryan, Northern Ireland

NGO - Resources, Human, Personal, Financial, Kandersteg, Switzerland (March 18 - March 24, 2018)

This week-long training course brought together managers, trainers and members of youth NGOs to discuss their organisation's resource systems. In various sessions in plenary, in groups or through self-reflection, we explored and developed new strategies for the human, personal and financial resources of our organization. In our free time we had interesting conversations with the other participants, who all come from different areas and have a lot of experience. We also walked through the typical Swiss town of Kandersteg, went snowshoeing, learned to cork cross-country ski, explored the area and enjoyed our time together.

3 Cultures in the Snow, Gantrisch region, Switzerland2 (February 6 - March 4, 2018)

A week in the snow - international youth exchange with young people from Israel, Madeira/Portugal and Switzerland. The youngsters got together for a week and explored each other's cultures through activities in the snow. They built igloos (and slept in them), went snowshoeing, and introduced each other to their country's culture and life. The concept of the youth exchange is to bring together young people (13-15 years old) from Israel, Portugal and Switzerland for a first intercultural experience in nature. The youth meeting is a cooperation with the youth work of Murten (Switzerland).
